KT Civil Welcomes Ashley Johnson and Rick Charo

Ashley relocated from Portland, Oregon after graduating in June from Oregon State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. She knew she wanted to be an engineer because of her dad’s influence growing up and her early interest in math.  She was eager to move to Austin because of the warm weather and a culture similar to what she was accustomed to in Portland, they even say “Keep Portland Weird.” Her interests include anything outdoors, paddle boarding on Town Lake, exploring new restaurants around the city, and enjoying the year-round sun. She is excited to be working at KT Civil as an EIT in pursuing this new chapter of her life.

Rick joins us as a veteran CAD Designer with more than 13 years of experience. Though Rick is new to KT Civil, he is not new to us.  He did not hesitate at the opportunity to rejoin the team he has worked with for years. Family and friends are important to him. He has been married to Jennifer for more than 18 years. They have three teenage children. Rick admits there is not a dull moment. He enjoys going to the movies, and BBQing with family and friends.  In his free time, he likes to draw.
